Dearest ancestors,
I want to apologize for not talking to you as often as I would like to. I thought ancestor veneration wasn’t for me because I only knew very few of you personally, but I was wrong. Getting into genealogy and researching our family tree made me realize how grateful I am for your existence, and how much I love and miss you.
I know our family history is messy and complicated, but it’s also full of strenght and hope. We often hurt each other without wanting to, but we also love each other so fiercly that sometimes it’s almost too much.
I’m grateful for everything I learned from you and will learn from you in the future, and I am beyond thankful that I get to exist in this world because of you.
