Dear Maria, it’s been a while since you have gone West -almost 2 years. This year, when I was graduating, I had a lump in my throat, knowing you were not there to see it -at least, in person. I frequently read the lovely happy birthday card you had gotten for me, saying “the best is yet to come”, only, you left too soon after saying so. I guess I’ll meet you again one day, when I come over to the West -hopefully. Until then, I am sending you my love, and I do hope that “the best is yet to come.” Thank you for being such a good friend.
